From the bottom division
to the top
In Fakenine nobody starts at the top. Every manager arrives in the bottom division, with the same money and a squad of the same level. Whatever you climb, you climb yourself.
Matchdays that play themselves
Matches are played on time even if you are away: the league, one matchday every Sunday (a season of about 34 weeks); on Wednesdays, the cups or a friendly. You prepare the eleven, the tactics and the orders; the engine does the rest.
Promotion and relegation
The top teams go up and the bottom ones go down. When the season closes: final table, history, taxes, retirements, youth, expiring contracts and a new season with its fixtures.
The First and Second Division have a single league; from the Third Division down, each division is played in groups, twice as many as the one above (Third, 2; Fourth, 4…), with clubs from any province. The top two of each group go up, so the top is never far away.
FAQ
Can I choose a club?
You can take any free club in the bottom division from its page, or let one be assigned to you.
How many seasons does it take to reach the First Division?
Not many, wherever you start. From the Third Division down, each division has twice as many groups as the one above, so every new division at the bottom holds twice as many clubs: even with hundreds of managers, it is five or six promotions from the very bottom.
