Games like Hattrick:
what Fakenine does differently
Hattrick is the classic online manager: free, with fictional players and thousands of managers since the late 90s. If you like that idea, Fakenine shares it, but plays it another way: every match is simulated with all 22 players moving around the pitch, you can watch it from start to finish, and the transfer market works like real football.
The match, actually played
In Fakenine the match is not calculated from line ratings: all 22 players are on the pitch and each one decides every half second what to do. Pass, carry, make a run, press, cover a team-mate, shoot or cross. A fast striker gets in behind, a tall centre-back wins in the air and a tired team arrives late. The result comes from what happens, not from a dice roll over your ratings.
And since it really happens, you can watch it: the free 2D viewer shows the whole match with all 22 players, the ball, crosses and shots, plus a timeline of every move. With Premium, there is also the TV camera inside your 3D stadium.
A transfer market like real football
- Contracts with wages and length that are negotiated: the player decides too.
- Loans, with or without an option to buy.
- Release clauses, sell-on percentages and payment in instalments.
- Free agents you sign without a fee when their contract ends.
- Goal bonuses, a house and a car to convince a player who hesitates.
More you will only find here
- Your stadium city’s real weather: if it rains in your city on match day, it rains in the match.
- Score-based orders: if you are losing at 70 minutes, your team goes for the equaliser on its own.
- Antonio, your right-hand man: he teaches you to play and tells you what matters, no manuals.
- National cups (one for the top divisions and one for the lower ones) and continental cups between countries, plus the Super Cup.
- Built for mobile from day one: install it like an app and get notified of what matters.
What if I already play Hattrick?
No need to quit: plenty of managers run several games at once. Fakenine is for those who want what they love about Hattrick (fiction, patience, real opponents) but with matches that are played and watched like football, and a transfer market with everything modern football has.

Frequently asked questions
Is Fakenine a Hattrick clone?
No. They share the idea of an online manager with fictional players and real opponents, but Fakenine simulates every match with all 22 players on the pitch, lets you watch it in full and has a market with contracts, loans and release clauses.
Can I play both?
Of course. They are independent, free and played in the browser.
How much time does Fakenine take?
A few minutes a day: prepare the match, check the market and read your staff. If you skip a day, your assistant manager prepares the match for you.
